Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy governs how customers may use the Forecourt platform, operated by Forecourt (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/407708/07. It forms part of our Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy.
1. Purpose of Forecourt
Forecourt is subscription-based business software for fuel station operators in South Africa. It is used to automate back-office accounting work — including end-of-day journals, management accounts, shift reconciliation, and fuel loss prevention — by processing each operator’s own trading data and posting it to their own accounting records.
Forecourt is not a financial services provider, a marketplace, or a payment service provider. We do not hold customer funds, process payments on behalf of third parties, or act as an intermediary between buyers and sellers. The platform is a software-as-a-service tool used by a business to operate its own back office.
2. Permitted use
Subject to a valid subscription, customers may use the platform to:
- Manage the accounting data for their own fuel station(s).
- Generate management reports and reconciliations.
- Integrate with their own Zoho Books organisation to post journals, invoices, and bills.
- Reconcile end-of-day and shift-end figures.
- Manage their own stations, organisation, and staff users.
3. Prohibited activities
You may not, and may not permit anyone to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to access the accounts, data, or organisation of any other customer.
- Use the platform to facilitate, conceal, or carry out any illegal activity, including fraud, money laundering, or tax evasion.
- Share login credentials, or resell, sublicense, or otherwise provide access to the Service to third parties without our written consent.
- Upload malicious code, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or impair the operation or security of the Service.
- Use the platform for any purpose other than the legitimate operation of a registered fuel station business.
- Misrepresent the nature of your business, or provide false or misleading information, when signing up or at any time thereafter.
4. Data security obligations
Customers are responsible for:
- Keeping their login credentials confidential and secure, and for all activity carried out under their accounts.
- The accuracy and completeness of the data they upload to or enter into the platform.
- Promptly notifying us of any suspected or actual security breach, unauthorised access, or compromised credentials, by emailing security@forecourt.africa (or support@forecourt.africa).
5. Consequences of violation
If we determine that you have breached this Policy, we may take any of the following steps, depending on the severity of the breach:
- Suspend your account and access to the Service.
- Terminate your subscription.
- Decline to provide a refund where termination is due to a violation of this Policy.
- Report the matter to the relevant authorities where we are required to do so by law.
